Man Proposes To His Train Driver Girlfriend As She Pulls At Dublin Station
Brace up for the goosebumps moment!
The proposal of marriage is one of the most romantic things on Planet Earth. And while you can’t underestimate how overwhelming it can be, it’s typically a day the majority of women worldwide look forward to. Here, a train driver has been left shocked when her fiancé set up a proposal that occurred as she pulled her train into a Dublin station.
Paula Carbo Zea pulled into the platform in Dublin’s Pearse Street Station, driving past numerous signs, including the question ‘Will You Marry Me?’
Concluding her shift for the day, Paula Carbo Zea pulled into the platform in Dublin’s Pearse Street Station, driving past numerous signs, including the question ‘Will You Marry Me?’ By the end of the platform, her boyfriend Conor stood holding up a large bouquet.
In the now-viral clip shared to Twitter by Dublin Midwife Clodagh Maher, romantic music could be heard playing over the station PA system while Ms. Carbo Zea, who was greeted by Conor on one knee, could also be seen nodding her head, which signaled a Yes.
‘Didn’t think anything could perk me up after a 13hr shift. Some Gent goes and Proposes to his GF, driving the incoming train at Pearse station.’ Maher captioned the post. On the day of the proposal, Maher had witnessed it while waiting on the platform when the northbound train to Malahide pulled in, and she filmed on camera the happy occasion.
In response, Ms. Carbo Zea responded to the clip, saying: ‘Thanks so much for sharing this moment. I was so surprised and at the same excited. Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this moment beautiful and perfect.’ Immediately, social media flooded the post with comments and positive reactions.
Marian Keyes on Twitter responded to the clip, applauding Maher for the clip while congratulating Ms. Carbo Zea for her good fortune. Another identified as Paul Cashin opined that the bride-to-be should get a nice train for her dress, and a third – Ricky Joyce, jokingly added that it’s a great platform on which to build a marriage.
‘Congratulations to Paula, our DART driver, and her fiancé Conor on their engagement – and here’s how Paula saw it unfold as she was driving a northbound Dart into Pearse. Thanks to DART and Pearse Station teams for helping Conor make it happen! #pearseproposal.’ Irish Rail wrote.
This is quite a touching proposal, do you agree?
