Makeup Brand Claims The Concealer Amber Said She Used To Cover Bruises Left By Johnny’s Attacks Wasn’t Sold Until After They Split
It wasn’t released until 2017.
Johnny Depp has no doubt continuously denied Amber Heard’s allegations against him, seeking $50million in compensatory damages and a punitive award of an estimated $350K, including attorneys’ fees and court costs. It’s no news the 58-Year-Old has since been pinned with numerous accusations at the Fairfax court, including an attack on the Aquaman actress.
During a trial, Heard and her lawyers [pictured is Benjamin Rottenborn] had claimed the actress used Milani’s All in One Correcting Kit to cover up injuries she received at the hands of Depp.
Her defense lawyer insisted she kept the makeup product in her purse at all times to make sure that her bruises were never visible to the public.
Heard’s other attorney had also pulled out the concealer palette and showed it to the jury.
However, the company that produced the makeup product “the Milani Cosmetics” has insisted they didn’t release the concealer palette that Heard said helped hide her marks until after she and Depp ended their relationship. Taking to TikTok, Milani debunked the claims stating that the brand didn’t release the product until 2017, while the alleged abuse was said to have taken place between 2013 and 2016.
“You asked us. Let the record show that our Correcting kit launched in 2017,” reads the company caption.
In it, the company showed an employee of theirs pointing to a PowerPoint presentation about its products, which revealed the Correcting Kit in question was launched in 2017. The company didn’t further state if or not early samples were available before the release. They also wrote in their video: “We are here to provide the facts of the case.”
The video has since been watched over three million times, and while many applauded the brand for addressing Heard’s claims, a few have slammed it.

One of the latter is a new outlet identified as Jezebel. Their published article said Milani Cosmetics used the moment as an advertising opportunity and added that brands do not have to do this. “I know it’s hard out there in the content mines, but wading into a trial where intimate partner violence is at the heart of it all is a bold and aggressive way to try to make a high-profile trial about your brand.”
