Johnny Depp Says He Locked Himself In The Bathroom To Escape Amber Heard
“It was like you were pinned to a wall, and you had to listen to it and just take it.”
At his Virginia court hearing, while on the stand, Johnny Depp publicly opened up about his childhood and his relationship with his ex-wife Amber Heard. Recalling, the 58-Year-Old actor claimed he would lock himself in the bathroom and other rooms each time Heard became angry.
He admitted Heard, 35, in her frustration, rage, and anger, would strike, and it could begin with a slap, a shove, or it could start with throwing a TV remote at his head. It also could be throwing a glass of wine in his face.
“I would remove myself from the situation as I’d done as a youth as much as possible. I certainly didn’t believe there was any need for these various subjects or arguments to come up and travel the distance that they did so very quickly, to ramp up so fast. It was like you were pinned to a wall and you had to listen to it and just take it,” The Pirates of the Caribbean star said.
He stated he found the only way to find any peace was to try and walk away, and if Heard didn’t allow him to walk away, he would lock himself in the bathroom or anywhere she couldn’t get into.
He then insisted: “And that happened constantly over the years.” Elsewhere, Depp told the court he never hit Heard during their relationship and has never struck a woman in his life. He further claimed his personal experiences, shared with Heard, have been used against meat weapons, especially for his kids, and there was no need for it.
This comes as Depp’s bodyguard, Sean Bett [pictured], showed photos of the actor with injuries to his face.
Bett opened up about how Depp and Heard constantly argued and explained how when Depp requested he take Heard to their penthouse to calm down, he told her privately in the car that their constant fight couldn’t continue. He confirmed saying to Heard that they would either kill themselves or go to jail.
