Ryan Gosling And Eva Mendes Live in A Small Apartment, Cook and Clean By Themselves, And Don’t Hire Babysitters

Married celebrity couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are one of the people’s favorite couples for being so low-key, but also passionate about family and love. The two share two daughters together and are determined to lead a simple lifestyle for them. And so far, they’re pretty impressive in keeping up with their lives without hiring a babysitter!

Ryan and Eva chose to live in a modest apartment with their two kids.

Despite being A-listers, they chose not to splurge by purchasing giant houses and vast mansions in the richest Hollywood neighborhoods. They’ve instead been living together in a 2-bedroom apartment that’s just enough for the girls to enjoy a normal childhood in. Even if the spotlight is often on them, the couple is always low-key and never anything on their private lives.

Their oldest is Esmeralda, 8 years old, and her sister is Amanda, 6. The family chose to raise their kids without the help of babysitters and would only call for Eva’s older relatives to help look after the kids if needed.

They adorably complement each other and would split the household chores. Eva particularly loves cleaning and is the “kitchen freak” of the family.

Mendes now co-owns a company that makes a “smart” sponge, an anti-germ cleaning sponge that she uses herself. She loves cleaning the dishes and shares that it’s therapeutic for her, especially when things are so hectic.

“Life is so chaotic. But the one thing I can control is my house, my kitchen. So when I do the dishes, it’s meditative for me. It really goes deeper than just cleaning up. It really gives me clarity. Clean sink equals clear mind for me.”

Aside from her celebrity life, Mendes also works from home and make business calls for the company.

She hilariously shared how it often doesn’t go as “formal” as some people wanted to imagine with her daughters candid appearance in the zoom calls.

“I’ll be Zooming with various people throughout the day and I have no idea. I’ll see people kind of giggle, and I see my five year old, who just turned six, will be right behind me with her blankie and looking so cute.”

Then we have Ryan Gosling who loves to cook!

She gushed over Ryan’s cooking, “Ryan’s the cook. He’s an incredible cook. I think that there’s a really nice balance to ‘you cook, I clean.’ And it just works for us.”

Eva who’s taking a break from her acting career added that Gosling is truly a father first before anything else. And the parents tried to school the girls themselves, but Eva quickly saw that she couldn’t juggle parenting and schooling at the same time. Now they have a tutor who gives them lessons at home and on trips.

“We travel a lot and we’re lucky enough to have someone we travel with that can continue their education at this point, and what we do is we try to incorporate the city we’re in as much as possible.”

The family’s choice to be away from the Hollywood spotlight has turned them into a unique family that’s beloved by many.
