Post Malone Falls Through Hole In Stage During Concert
Medics rushed to Post Malone’s aid after he fell while performing in Missouri.
Post Malone was forced to take a break from his gig while performing at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis over the weekend. The American rapper, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, is currently on tour in the United States and Canada, with shows regularly until the middle of November.
But sadly, the tour is now cut short after Post Malone fell on stage and crashed his torso.
Video from the event showed the songwriter singing on a platform that stretched out from the stage to the center of the crowd, happily performing his well-known track Circles, when the floor, without warning, gave way beneath him. One of his legs, as per Ladbible, crashed through a hole and, in the process, had his head against the platform.
Crowds let out gasps of shock, with most left confused as the singer rolled onto his back while also clutching his ribs in pain.
TMZ reported that the hole in the stage emerged after Post Malone lowered his guitar out of sight, but it hadn’t been closed up afterward. An observer told the news publication that one of the singer’s legs was left shaking uncontrollably following the accident and that medics, without hesitation, rushed to his aid.
The tour is in promotion of his Twelve Carat Toothache LP, which dropped back in June.
The album debuted No.2 on the Billboard 200 chart, losing the top spot to Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti. So far, the sunflower singer has been praised for how he handled the situation and met with support from fans. A Twitter user wrote: “I keep seeing videos of Post Malone falling off stage last night and getting hurt; then he FINISHED his show. We really don’t deserve that man.”
Thankfully, Post Malone has sent an update, informing his fans he’s okay.
The singer then explained that during the acoustic part of his show, there’s an area on stage that opens up to lower instruments, something he forgot about as he walked around and fell right through it. As he put it in his video [below], the accident busted his a**. Post Malone also apologized for the show having to be cut short, saying he would make it up.
