PINK Has Donated Half A Million For Australia’s Bushfire Cause
Good soul helping other good souls.
PINK has shown that she is doing her part in helping the devastating bushfires that are ravaging the land of Kangaroos and Koalas. PINK had the most successful solo female singer concert through her Truth About Love Tour in 2013. Since then, she’s had a huge fanbase in the country.
In her Instagram caption, she wrote, “I am totally devastated watching what is happening in Australia right now with the horrific bushfires. I am pledging a donation of $500,000 directly to the local fire services that are battling so hard on the frontlines. My heart goes out to our friends and family in Oz.”
PINK uploaded a page of organization names as well as their links for those who wish to help for Australia’s bushfire cause.
The bushfire that began in September quickly spread and burnt through towns, grasslands, and trees. Currently, there are more than 200 fire points with just today, Melbourne has experienced their first thick haze from the fire. Almost half a billion wildlife is presumed dead from the fire.
The thousands of firefighters who volunteered for the case have also gone unpaid with the government promising only 20-day pay. Many of us know that they’ve been gone for weeks, sometimes months, to help curb the fire. Two firefighters were previously killed when a falling tree hit their firetruck. Two of them were fathers of young children.
Experts have spoken up that this bushfire can and will continue to rage for the next few months.
