Kourtney Kardashian Reveals KUWTK Had A ‘Toxic Environment’
“I was used to always being a b**** and having no feelings.”
Shooting the show Keeping Up With The Kardashians became a really toxic environment for Kourtney Kardashian, and as a result, the alum played a character towards the end.
At the time, she would fight with her sister, and even for her personally, it wasn’t the happiest place.
Most people don’t seem to know Kourtney was the first of her well-known family to star in a reality show titled the Filthy Rich: Cattle Driver in 2005 on E!
Unlike her four younger sisters, she had earned an actual college degree in costume design from the University of Arizona.
In a recent interview with Bustle, Kourtney insisted she was used to always being a b**** and having no human feelings during the end of the show. She added: “This is Kourtney, and she’s in a bad mood, so even though she was laughing really at lunch, we’re going to cut out the laughing and let’s only use the annoying comment that she said.”
When the show of the 14-Year 20 Season run concluded on June 20th, Kourtney started therapy, which made her really sensitive.
The Poosh founder continued: “Normally I’d have a really good comeback [to insults], like, ‘Well, you’re covered in cellulite. But then I would be like I have nothing to say. I’m not a b*** anymore. I just have feelings; like, an abundance of them. I would just start crying all the time.”
In a separate Interview with Mag, momager Kris Jenner attested: “We were probably all just a little too hard on Kourtney, to be honest.”
“Everybody has their own boundaries and I think the discussion was we just have to learn how to respect those boundaries. If Kourtney doesn’t want to share certain things, instead of everybody getting annoyed by that or upset by that, it’s just really about accepting what works for everyone.”
“At some point you have to kind of make a decision about how you’re going to spend your time and how you’re going to balance. I think that Kourtney’s really found that balance that she has craved for so long. And she’s been happy. You can see it on her face and in the way she is and her laughter.”
However, KUTWK spawned many spin-off series, including Flip It Like Disick, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Kourtney and Khloe Take The Hamptons, among others. On the other hand, Kourtney did appreciate the year-long break between KUWTK and the next spin-off, The Kardashian, which will premiere on April 14 on Hulu, Disney+ internationally, and Star+ in Latin America.
In other news, Kourtney is planning her wedding to the Grammy-winning drummer Travis Barker after a year-long romance.
