Kim Kardashian Used Four Former Victoria’s Secret Models For The ‘Fits Everybody’ SKIMS Campaign
“Add some plus-size models for once.”
As many of you who’s been checking up on her shapewear collection, Kim Kardashian has regularly invited models of all sizes to be featured in her photoshoots. She’s been working hard to dispel the stigma surrounding shapewear with SKIMS and let women with any kind of curves get their opportunity to shine.
In her latest “Fit Everybody” collection, Kim had decided to invite the former angels of Victoria’s Secrets for the photoshoot.
The collection features everything from loungewear to thongs that cost $14 each. While an underwear pack would cost around $60 each with sizes for the bras with underwires going between only 32A–44D. However, the sizes of several products are between XXS–4XL.
These models are Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Candice Swanepoel, and Alessandra Ambrosio, all well-known for their time as lingerie angels.
Victoria’s is currently heavy on rehauling its image after a close call of being canceled by people who’ve been calling out on dangerous and toxic beauty standards portrayed by the lingerie brand. And for that, they’ve let got several of their models for their new “VS Collective” lineup that includes many inclusive models.
The former model of the brand Tyra Branks has voiced her support despite being one of those who stopped walking their runway.
“I was the first Black @VictoriasSecret contract model ever. The first Black Victoria’s Secret Cover model…To the new collective of badass ROLE models, I may have cracked that door open, but y’all are charging through,” she wrote an uplifting message on her social media.
“When Kim called me with the idea to reunite these incredible women and me for SKIMS, I was intrigued,” she spoke excitedly about the collection.
“And here we are! I hadn’t modeled lingerie and undergarments since I retired from the runway, but it was like riding a bike.”
Kim said that she wasn’t supposed to be in the picture and wrote, “OK so I wasn’t supposed to be in this SKIMS campaign, but I stopped by and jumped in because it was too iconic.”
Yet, some cannot understand how the “Fits Everybody” name fits with the supermodels used for the promotion.
