Jada Pinkett Smith’s ‘Entanglement’ Partner Thought Chris Rock’s Jokes Was Funny
“It was not only funny, but truthful.”
The singer who became the heat of discussion when it comes to Jada Pinkett Smith’s “entanglement” during the weakest point of her marriage to Will Smith shared his personal opinion of Chris Rock’s comedy special after watching it.
Speaking to The Post, a source shared, “August watched the Netflix special and he laughed.”
“He thought it was not only funny but truthful. That was the best part for him.”
The opinion became apparent after Rock cracked a joke about the violence he received, “Everybody in the world called him a b***h. Everybody. Everybody. And who’s he hit? Me. A n—a he knows he could beat. That is some b****-a** s**t.”
Rock delivered his line, “His wife was f–king her son’s friend.”
And he was right, according to Alsina.
The source shared that there were more public opinions against Alsina and that made the comedy special especially catharthic to watch for him. The source explained, “He was happy to see that Chris Rock seemed to be advocating for the truth and not just making a joke.”
The 30-year-old first met the married woman at the Wire Festival in 2015. At the time, she was attending the show her children, Willow and Jaden, were performing in. And they hit it off and went on a vacation together – with Smith’s whole family.
It quickly turned sour when she was seen cuddling up to her son’s friend at the BET Awards in 2017.
The source said the Smith couple had a “very unique understanding.” And then, the singer was “vindicated when he said he had a conversation with Will. It was a blessing given.”
Will and Jada had a heart-to-heart talk on the “Red Table Talk” series where Jada shared she didn’t think it was a “transgression” and Will was “done with” her.
The source continued that Smith downplayed their four years together to a mere “entanglement” and Alsina was getting “sick” of all the stress.
“And that’s what made it so unfortunate,” they continued. “He did not drag them into any interviews. It was not a scandal. It was just him telling his truth and getting his life back.”
