Jada Pinkett Smith Appears In New ‘Red Table Talk’ Teaser After Slap Chaos
A new season with all new guests that made headlines last year.
The ‘Red Table Talk’ show has dropped its new teaser trailer fresh after the Oscars slap chaos. And on the teaser, we can see several figures that had been prominent for the past year in making it to the headlines.
Jada Pinkett Smith is hosting the show with her daughter Willow Smith together with her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
The season premiere will see Janelle Monáe speak about her childhood growing up and her coming out at the age of 32. The teaser heard her mentioning her father’s drug abuse, and she’ll be accompanied by Janet Hawthorne, her mother.
Another pair that’s expected to show in this season is Kim Basinger and daughter Ireland Baldwin. The ex-wife of Alec Baldwin shared in her first interview for a decade, “I went through a very heavy-duty, out loud when you’re in the public divorce.”
There’s also April Simpkins, mother of Miss USA Cheslie Kryst, who died to suicide earlier this year, spilling out her feelings on the table talk. She shared tearfully, “I walked through the door and just collapsed in my son’s arms.”
Aside from the stars, there’s also a special episode for the victim of Tinder Swindler, Ayleen Charlotte, and the author of “My Friend Anna,” Rachel DeLoache Williams.
The show, which has 100 episodes so far, had won a 2021 Daytime Emmy for outstanding informative talk show and was also the most scrutinized show after the Oscars slap. Critics were aimed at Jada, who admitted to her “entanglement” with August Alsina in a July 2020 episode, slammed for airing out their dirty laundry in public.
