“He was never held accountable. It’s completely unacceptable for people in a position of power to wield that power over someone in a weaker position, no matter the industry. It’s hard to talk because she’s my grandmother. You don’t want to imagine somebody taking advantage of your grandmother.” Johnson said.

In her 2016 Memoir, Hedren had alleged several instances of abuse at the hands of the late director.

She’s such a glamorous movie star, still.” This comes after Johnson recently spoke out on abuse allegations leveled at a number of her former co-stars, including Johnny Depp.

“You don’t want to imagine somebody taking advantage of your grandmother,” Johnson said.

Hedren and Johnson’s mom, Melanie, has since instilled in her not to put up with being mistreated at work.
