Zayn Malik And Gigi Hadid Reportedly Break Up After Gigi’s Mom Claims Singer ‘Hit Her’

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have reportedly split up after rumors of Yolanda, Gigi’s mom, having been hit by Zayn.
“They are not together right now. They are both good parents though,” a close source to Gigi Hadid confirmed to People. “They co-parent. Yolanda is of course very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild.”
Gigi’s rep stated, “Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time.”
TMZ was the first to report that Yolanda is threatening to report Zayn to the authorities after he hit her. But Zayn’s rep vehemently denied and claimed that Yolanda had made “false allegations.” He’s also taken to social media dissing on the woman as he hoped that “private family matters” remain as private matters, not something for the world to pick apart.
“I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private,” Zayn stated.
The 26-year-old supermodel and 28-year-old singer share a 13-month baby girl.
Rumors of them dating emerged in 2015. Gigi Hadid appeared in Zayn’s ‘Pillowtalk’ MV, getting all cuddly and romantic with the singer.
Despite Zayn’s adamant denial, TMZ reported, “We don’t have the details of what she claims triggered the alleged assault, but we’re told Yolanda stands by her account. She claims Zayn ‘struck’ her.”
Zayn’s statement on Twitter reads, “As you all know, I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart.”

The couple has been keeping Gigi Hadid’s pregnancy in a low-profile manner.
The couple has also been actively protecting their daughter from the media’s eyes, as they currently reside in a ranch in Pennslyvania.
The couple was in an on-and-off relationship. Just before Gigi Hadid announced her pregnancy, she was dating The Bachelorette’s Tyler Cameron for a few months before officially getting back together with Zayn again in February 2020. They’ve been spotted together since January 2020.
On the latest update from TMZ, Zayn has pleaded guilty to no contest and is barred from contact with the security guard and Yolanda. He’s also to sign up for an anger management class for 360 days.
