The undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather, 43, ill come out of retirement to fight YouTube star Logan Paul, 25.
Paul is 5inches taller, naturally heavier, and well-known for his YouTube clips. While Paul had fought fellow YouTuber KSI twice in the past three years, Mayweather, the American boxing legend, hasn’t fought within two years since knocking out Conor McGregor in 2017. However, Mayweather and Paul’s fight will be streamed as a pay-per-view on the Fanmio site.
Being a family thing, Paul’s younger brother, Jake – a YouTuber has been making in-roads into the universe of professional boxing, beating out ex-basketball player Nate Robinson in an explosive fashion in November. Recently, Jake had even claimed he would be the next Floyd Mayweather, having undergone one white-collar fight and two professional bouts.
On the other hand, Rap legend Snoop Dogg has hilariously reacted to the upcoming Paul and Mayweather fight. The 49-Year-Old American, who had received praise after his night of commentary and hip-hop performances for the Tyson vs. Jones fight, took to his Instagram to reveal he’s ready to offer his services for the special exhibition bout.
The rapper has thrown his name into the ring after sharing a photo of himself between the two, with a simple caption that reads: ‘I got this.’ Snoop Dogg wants in on the fun as he’s vying for a spot on the broadcast team.
Nevertheless, snoop has since indicated his interest in sports commentating after uploading multiple social media posts supporting the move. And interestingly, Entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David had called for Snoops to be signed to a multi-year contract with the likes of TNT’s coverage of the NBA for $15million over 3years. Undeniably, Mayweather/Paul’s fight is quite a step into the awkward for boxing, but it might just indeed be a unique spectacle if Snoop returns to the mic. Time will certainly reveal this.
