Apple Launches iPhone 12, 12 Pro, Pro Max, New iPhone Mini With Super-Fast 5G Connectivity

The exterior design looks similar to the 2010 iPhone 4, with rounded edges.

The year 2020 witnessed Apple being the first ever to introduce 5G cellular connectivity. Amid its virtual event, the company announced its newly released iPhones are equipped with an ultra-fast millimeter-wave version, and ultimately 5G runs between ten and a hundred times faster than a typical 4G, making video streaming and downloads fast-moving than imagined.

Apple held its highly anticipated virtual event on Oct. 13th and showed off the new iPhone 12 as well as its upgraded smart speaker ‘HomePod mini’

Dubbed the biggest improvement Apple has made in years, the new iPhones include a 6.7inch iPhone 12 Max, 6.1inch iPhone 12 Pro, 6.1inch iPhone 12, and a 5.4.inch iPhone 12 Mini. Appearing similar to an iPad Pro, the iPhone 12 is designed with a ceramic shield – very much stronger than any smartphone glass and interestingly, they’re literally resistant to both heat and electricity.

Also designed with a 12-megapixel camera system, the new lineup has a 7-element lens that upsurges low-light performance by twenty-seven percent. Two of the phones, specifically the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will go on sale from Oct. 23rd but preorders begin on October 16th. Both the Mini and Max are scheduled for arrival in Mid-November and their prices are benched at $799 and $699 respectively.

The whole lineup features a whole brand new design and will not include lighting Ear Pods or even wall chargers as the previous but revamped MagSafe Chargers. As part of Apple’s commitment to becoming carbon neutral,  the unveiled MagSafe Chargers uses magnetic pins to connect with a charging cable and it’s doesn’t just serve for charging but equally as a magnetic attachment system for different purposes.

Accordingly, the new phones are duly updated with A14 Bionic, the exact chips that are in the new iPad Air. ‘The inception of the 5G marks the launch of a new phase for the iPhone. We’re exhilarated bringing these incredible new capabilities – the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini. We are pushing the confines in an attempt to deliver impressive computational photography innovations.’

‘The Super Retina XDR displays and the largest leap in durability in the history of iPhone with a brand new Ceremaic Shield front cover.’ Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Senior VP of global marketing said. An upgraded $99 smart speaker ‘HomePod Mini, which comes in white space grey color was firstly introduced during the live event.

The top-notch iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro devices entail stainless steel bands and come in four incredible colors, including gold, silver, pacific blue, and graphic. The devices have three rear-facing cameras, AR & low-light autofocus, and a LiDAR for in-depth mapping. 12 Pro has a telephoto lens with an optical zoom of just 2.5X while the Pro Max has a doubled optical Zoom, a huge jump from older generations.

The iPhone 12 comes in white, blue, black, red, green colors and it’s 16% lighter, 11% thinner, and 15% smaller than the preceding iPhone 11. It also has a dual, 12MP camera lenses that even capture pictures using Night Mode as well as night timelapse. On the other hand, the iPhone 12 Mini is closely identical to the iPhone 12 but different with its weight and screen size.

Nevertheless, Apple’s new iPhones arrived a month later than usual, a delay accredited to the global pandemic. And by expanding into the 5G Universe, the tech giant is very much likely to experience a surge for its newest smartphones.
