Amber Heard Has ‘Less Than 10 Minutes’ Of Screen Time In Aquaman Sequel
The petition to have her axed has passed two million signatures.
Film journalist Grace Randolph has confirmed fans won’t be seeing much of Amber Heard in the sequel Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, set for release in March 2023. Her reduced screen time comes in the wake of a petition of two million signs calling for her to be axed from the movie.
More than two million people have signed a petition calling for Amber to lose her role as Princess Mera as it emerged she domestically abused Johnny Depp.
It is unknown if Amber’s role was always intended to be small or if her screen time was reduced due to her multi-million-dollar defamation trial with Depp. But then, Grace, known for her comic book movie Scoops has alleged Amber will have “less than minutes of screen time” in the film.

Jeanne Larson, who launched the petition, insisted Amber had been exposed as a domestic abuser and that canceling her appearance in Aquaman 2 would prevent her alleged abuse from being glamorized.
However, Depp had been dropped by Disney for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the 5th installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Speaking at his court hearing in Fairfax, Virginia, the actor insisted he was shocked when Disney removed him from the franchise four days after The Washington Post published an op-ed by Amber in which she said she had been a victim of domestic abuse, without mentioning his name.
