Noel Gallagher Misgendered Sam Smith And Slammed Them As ‘Uncool’

Noel Gallagher went on a long rant that involved slamming Sam Smith as a “f*****g idiot” after misgendering them. The singer went on Kink the Oasis Dutch radio station talking about the “current state of pop music.”
The “Unholy” hitmaker had infamously appeared in an inflated suit for the Brit Awards before performing in what some deemed as controversial Satanic stageplay.
The 55-year-old was ranting about pop genre, “Music has become quite fractured and chart music is dominated by pop.”
“Pop music is alright if the pop stars are cool. Sadly the stars of today are f***ing idiots,” he added. And when asked if he has certain names he has in mind when it comes to the “uncool” ones, he didn’t spare a second before answering “Sam Smith.”
He continued, “Look at him!”
Sam Smith came out as non-binary in 2019 but had not expected the massive backlash, which was only apparent in public. While their closed ones had been respectful, they told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, “I think all the only negatives in the struggle have been in my public life and my job.”
“And just the amount of hate and s****ness that came my way was just exhausting.”
“My family, they can communicate with me. They always did.”
“But they communicate with me now in an even better way. My love life has become better from it. I feel lovable. I feel comfortable in my skin, but I wear what I want to wear.”
“Since changing my pronouns, it felt like a coming home. I wish I knew what the words were when I was in school, because I would’ve identified as that in school. Because it is who I am and it’s who I’ve always been.”
Sam has been slammed for controversies, with “I’m Not Here To Make Friends” music video being the latest “hyper-sexualised” one.
