Miley Cyrus’ Mom Tish Files For Divorce From Husband Billy Ray Cyrus After Almost 30 Years Of Marriage

Miley Cyrus’ mother, Tish, has filed for divorce from her husband, the country singing sensation Billy Ray Cyrus, citing irreconcilable differences. The pair have been together for almost 30 years with five children, including singer Noah Cyrus and chart-topper singer Miley. Since all their children are adults, there will be no battle for child custody.
This would be the THIRD time the couple pictured with their children has filed for divorce.
“We go our separate ways with love in our hearts. It is after 30 years, five amazing children, and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways – not with sadness but with love in our hearts. We have grown up together, raised a family we can be so proud of, and it is now time to create our paths,” the couple’s joint statement obtained by PEOPLE read.
Both 54-Year-Old Tish and 60-Year-Old Billy insisted they will always be family and look forward to a continued and loving shared experience as friends and parents.
The statement concluded: “We have not come to this decision lightly or quickly but with so much going on in the world, we wanted to provide some clarity and closure, so we can remain focused on what is important. With Love and Hope. Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus.”
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Tish noted that she and Billy had not lived together in over two years.
The revelation seems true as the last time they were together on a red carpet was in 2019 at Grammy Awards.
Billy had notably been absent from the family’s Christmas photos, which signals that things were on the rocks. As their divorce is ongoing, Tish has reportedly outlined how she wants the money divided and urged that their marital assets be equally distributed. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the Net Worth of Billy is in the range of $20million.
This isn’t the first time they’ve talked about divorce. In 2010, Billy filed for divorce but changed his mind. In 2013, Tish also filed for divorce but backed out.
