The Korean slang, ‘Beyond,’ is a Korean slang that means to appear or disappear and is often used as a cute way of saying goodbye. A heartbroken Hyun also addressed Holmes’ fans in a 40-minute video and played out a voice message she had recorded from the hospital before her passing. Hyun alleged she had been given less than a week to live but managed to hang on for ten days before departing the world on Sept. 1.

“If you’re listening to this, I love you all. If you’re listening to this, I’m watching you all from the sky,” Holmes said in her VM.

She added: “I wanted to make it to the end. I will be taking care of all of you. Every time you see something beautiful, that will be me. This is not the end. I’m still fighting. I am fighting. I wanted to spend more precious times with all of you, I wanted to send you all a message, but this came faster than I expected. I have made so many good friends.”

“I guess I have used up all of my luck. I have no regrets. I wanted to spend more time with you, but I will be watching over you.”

Hyun, seen in tears, said Holmes was a kind person and that it was the first time he had ever met such a kind person in his whole life. Back in May, the YouTuber known as HojuSara said she was stunned by her diagnosis as she led a healthy lifestyle and had just been hiking and riding her bike with Hyun. She alleged she didn’t smoke or drink alcohol and exercised regularly.

However, she launched her YouTube from her home in Brisbane in 2014. And as it grew popular, she began taking trips to South Korea, where she met Hyun. So far, there’re tributes from fans and other influencers, including Liah Yoo, Amanda Rach, and Safiya Nygaard. “Thank you for giving so much, Sara, from all of us at the embassy,” The Australian embassy in South Korea said.
