‘My Husband Of 7 Years Left Me For My Daughter When She Turned 18, Now They Have A Family’

A woman shared her heartbreaking story filled with disgust towards her ex-husband. What started as a dream family broke her apart not long after her daughter turned 18: her husband wanted to end their marriage and was getting married to her girl.

“My life felt perfect. In 2010, I had a son with my husband. My life was then complete. I had two kids. A great husband. A house. Car. Nice job. Life was great,” she began her story.

Now in her 40s, she was still unable to look past what had happened and shared the story on Reddit, perhaps seeking help through the struggle.

Seven years after they were married and raised her daughter together, her husband suddenly announced that he wanted to end their marriage and he didn’t hide the reason. She recalled, “He told me that he was now in a relationship with my daughter and was leaving me for her.”

“I couldn’t believe this. I couldn’t process it. I felt crushed, angry, disgusted, mad — every feeling I could feel.”

“My now-ex-husband never gave me creepy vibes, but if he got with my daughter when she was 18, I’m sure something had been going on while she was a minor.”

She tried warning her daughter and helped her make sense of what had happened. But she couldn’t stop the two who left together to start their own family. And during this time, she was stuck with another boy she shared with the unfaithful ex-husband. They were finally expecting their first baby a year later and she decided to cut them off completely.

She continued, “She doesn’t see how it’s wrong or gross. She doesn’t care about me. He doesn’t see an issue too, obviously. But my own daughter? Come on.”

“I had my ex-husband stop coming around completely, and my ex is OK with not seeing our son now that he has his ‘new’ family. My son has had some hard times understanding why his sister and dad are gone, I haven’t told him the truth. Maybe I should, but he’s only 10. I told him his sister went to university and his dad had to go away for a while.”

Four years later, she learned that they were expecting their second child, which meant that she now had two grandchildren and one child with the same 44-year-old man.

Still disgusted and disturbed, she continued, “She now has two kids by my ex-husband. The man who raised her like she was his own daughter … who she now has kids with. Her kids are my grandchildren, who also happen to be half-siblings with my son. How sick is that?! It’s disgusting. I’m still not over this. I don’t know how to get over this. I just want to move on.”
