Woman’s Dating Life Shows Why You Shouldn’t Let Your Standards Down For Men
“Anytime he comes home and he sees that I’ve cleaned something, he points to it and says, ‘Thank you for doing that.'”
A relationship is one where both parties invest their time and resources to make it work. What makes it different from a business is instead of a written agreement, you invest emotionally as well into each other, and it shows when your partner actually cares and is serious about you.
Rose Maddox stitched to a viral TikTok video to share her own dating experiences that made many people realize standards are possible.
Rose is 22 years and has been with her fiance, Drake, for seven years. Now engaged, she presents the first case, “I used to drive an old Hyundai Sante Fe with no heating, no air, and no music, and he would let me drive his car to work, and he would take mine to his work so I could listen to music and have air conditioning since my drive was two minutes longer…”
“When we go to a restaurant, he asks me what my top two choices are of entrees and whatever I don’t order, he orders so that if I don’t like my meal, we can switch around.”
“If I tell him I’m having a bad day, he comes home from work with either flowers, ingredients for him to make me a meal, or some sort of gift.”
“Right now, he works 9–5, and I’m finishing up my last year of college, so I’m bearing a lot of the housework. But anytime he comes home, and he sees that I’ve cleaned something, he points to it and says, ‘Thank you for doing that.'”
“I teach spin classes, and for about a year, he was the only guy at any of my spin classes.”
Rose explained, “He would show up every single time so that when I looked into the bikes, I would have someone I could make eye contact with and feel more confident in my teaching.”
The couple is getting married in June next year! Rose shared that she loved bragging about her man and wished that her stories would convince people that “everyone should be with someone who makes them feel so proud to be their significant other.”
“We all deserve to be with someone who does not let you quit,” she shared.
Rose’s boyfriend’s kindness, however, was something that he consistently showed to everyone as well. When asked about Rose’s video, Drake replied that rather than him going far and beyond, it was actually his “attempt to reciprocate the amazing things she does” for him on a daily basis.
The video is now viral with almost 12 million views on TikTok now.
Us all right now:
It’s such an eye-opening story for so many women and men, telling them not to let the standards go down.
