Woman Who Stuck In The Body Of An 8-Year-Old Reveals New Boyfriend

Shauna Rae Lesick is a 23-year-old looking for her true love. But standing at 3’10” or 116cm, it’s been almost impossible to find a man who is not a creep with a skewed interest in the underage. But here she is with someone who might spend his entire life with her!

Shauna is a cancer survivor who had her growth stunted from brain cancer. She stopped growing taller after reaching 3 feet 10 inches or 116cm.

Her life is being documented on TLC’s “I Am Shauna Rae,” particularly on her struggle to be acknowledge as a potential romantic partner and finding true love. But finally, she might just have found the one. His name is Dan Swygart from Wales.

The 26-year-old traveler has been sending her flowers after watching her show and that’s how it began. Shauna shared, “Dan and I met through social media, and we talked for a couple months. He travels so often, so he doesn’t have service everywhere he goes.”

“We kind of just got along, and we have a lot similar in our lives,” the travel enthusiast shared. “He’s just a nice guy.”

He has came to visit her in Long Island, New York, and spent sometime with her and her sister, Rylee, playing escape room. Shauna said, “Rylee and I were both very anxious because we didn’t know what he wanted.”

“He was also talking to both of us casually, so we didn’t know who he was into.”

The second time he came, he’s visiting the family and Shauna let her parents, Patty and Mark Schrankel, meet him. He made them some sushi rolls and it was a pretty pleasant evening.

Shauna shared that her parents were always worried that she’s attracting people with unsavory tastes due to her body.

Shauna who survived three years of chemotherapy, has an almost-dormant pituitary gland that stunts her growth. She’s gotten hormone injections, but by 16, her bones were fusing and she couldn’t grow any taller.

Her parents were enthusiastic and thought he was a “really good match” because he’s “very smart and adventurous.”

Her stepfather continued, “I think he could pull her out of [her] comfort zone but still make her safe.”

Shauna shared that she wasn’t sure about starting a long-distance relationship and said, “I haven’t actually really thought about if Dan and I were in a relationship and how that would look. I assume that we would probably try long distance, but I’ve been in a long-distance relationship. It’s not my cup of tea.”

And that’s why she’s considering Dan’s offer to take her as his one-plus for a wedding in Malaysia.

Her stepdad was liking the idea, “Dan taking Shauna out of the country, I think it would be really cool. I think she’d have a good time.”
