Woman Left Shocked After Seeing A Huge Huntsman Spider In Her Shower

Whose heart wouldn’t race?

People mostly come across tiny spiders, but it’s pretty different in Australia, where threatening creatures, including huge huntsman spiders, can be found. Huntsman spiders are considered un-harmful to humans, and they’re, of course, are more likely to run away than crawl towards you to sting

But then sighting a big one in a shower can be so terrifying. Cathy Cox recently spotted one in her shower, and just like everybody else, was left frightened. Taking a photo of the creature and sharing it with a spider Identification Facebook group, Cathy revealed she found a female arachnid perched near the ceiling in the bathroom of her home in Perth.

“I have what I believe to be beautiful in my shower. She is out of harm but should I relocate her? FYI, heart racing at the thought of the latter.” Cathy captioned her post. Instantly, a group member advised her to try moving the 4.5 huntsman spider to somewhere cozier as steam from the shower can make the walls slippery, causing the spider to fall off.

“FYI, heart racing at the thought of the latter.” Cathy captioned her post as she asked if she should relocate the spider.

Another added: “I cannot imagine more horrifying things than her getting a little steamy, losing her footing, and dropping onto your shoulder on the shower.” A few members handled the subject matter jokingly, with one saying: ‘It looks like it’s the size of a basketball. I would not touch. They have claimed your shower. You can use the hose to wash now.”

Huntsman spiders are one of Australia’s largest species. They are capable of inflicting a painful bite.

A third stated: “OMG, why does it look like it could turn on the shower itself?” However, Huntsman spiders are one of Australia’s largest species, and they’re known for entering homes, headphones, cars. They aren’t dangerous to humans but are capable of inflicting a painful bite
