Woman Explains How Living With Men Is Never Beneficial To Her And It Sparks Debate Online

Ceci Bendita has caught the attention of millions online after sharing a conversation she had with an older woman, who told her all women would have to be their man’s mom with living with them and that women should embrace it. This perspective isn’t accepted as many people have shared examples all over TikTok of how some men live and operate.
Undeniably, Ceci’s conversation has made so many women feel seen when it comes to living with a man.
In her video, she described: “Today a woman who was a lot older than me was talking to me about how beautiful it is to live in companionship with a man and how much she loves it as if I had never lived with a man before. But I loved with two of my boyfriends and I told her that both of the times I lived with my boyfriends I became their mom, and that’s just not a hot vibe. It kills the love, the s*x, the intimacy… that dynamic? No.”

Ceci claimed she then asked the woman what it would look like if she were to live with a man where she wasn’t picking up after him and wasn’t telling him what to do around the house as they could be equals.
The older woman responded: “Well, no, that’s just the way it is to live with a man.” Ceci also replied: “So why would I do it again? Because I love to live alone, and it would take a man who brings a lot to my life and makes my life easier for me to live with a man again. Because men live with me, their lives are so much easier. I handle a lot of things for them. So I would want a dude who handles things for me.”
To buttress her point, Ceci shared photos of what it was like living with a past boyfriend.
In her interview with BuzzFeed, Ceci urged that women shouldn’t live with men unless they significantly contribute to the woman’s quality of life. Since becoming single, she has been working to heal her codependency before she gets into a relationship again and believes many women are socialized to caretake and be nurturing, and as it did for her, it can become maladaptive and codependent.
