Will Smith Reveals He Had A Vision His Career Would Be ‘Destroyed’ Even Before Oscars Slap
“This is my fear in real life and I’m in there.”
Will Smith has alleged he had a vision his career would be destroyed at his home even before the viral incident in which he slapped comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars. The actor also claimed he saw that money and career would be taken from him over a two-year period.
The 53-Year-Old shared the mentioned above with David Letterman on the latest episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.
Will explained he had seen the future of his life thanks to ayahuasca – a psychoactive herbal drink with powerfully hallucinogenic properties. “Once you drink it, you’re going to see yourself in a way you’ve never seen yourself. One of the experiences was the individual most hellish, psychological experience of my life,” he said.
He added: “I drank and it usually takes about 45 minutes to kick in. And I’m sitting there and you always feel like ‘Maybe it won’t kick in this time.”
“So I’m drinking and sitting there, and then all of a sudden it’s like I start seeing all of my money flying away, and my house is flying away, and my career is going away.” Will then shared he started to panic and tried to grab his money and career, but he saw his whole life getting destroyed, which he described as his worst fear becoming a reality.
“This is my fear in real life, and I’m in there, and I’m wanting to vomit, and all of that, and I hear a voice saying: “This is what the f**k it is. This is what the f**k life is.”
Will further spoke of how he heard his daughter Willow calling out for help which he said placed things into perspective, and that gradually, he got to a point where he stopped caring about his house, career, and money and just wanted to get to Willow. Of the outcome of his vision, the actor said when he came out of it, he realized that if anything happened in his life, he could handle it.
