“Tattoo Artist Body-Shamed Me Multiple Times While Giving Me A Stomach Tattoo”
“Ah, I get why I see you in the gym all the time. You got back rolls.”
Dalina had the worst tattoo experience of her life! It was so horrible that she left in the middle of her appointment and even suffered a panic attack in her car. It all started in the GYM as Dalina claimed the male tattoo artist approached her, complimented her tattoos, and chatted with her about her ink. The discussion resulted in an exchange of contacts, and she had thought he was being kind.
The California resident said the artist seemed genuine, and each time afterward, he would wave or approach her to fist bump her with a good job amid workouts.
But then things eventually took a twist! Taking to TikTok, Dalina shared: “I need to know if I’m being dramatic or not. I just left in the middle of getting my tattoo. Like, in the middle of my appointment, I got up, and I paid him, and I left. I met this guy at the gym and he approached me specifically because of my tattoos. He was like ‘Oh, I do tattoos and he gave me his card and we exchanged information.”
“I looked him up and I liked his work and I had a tattoo that I wanted to get all over stomach. So naturally, I come to the thing (tattoo shop) and he has me take off my shirt,” Dalina explains in her video.

She continued, attesting she had her pasties on, and so she was literally there without a shirt, and just are nipples were covered. “And he just starts talking about how unsymmetrical I was. He starts calling my boobs ‘tits’. But, the last straw: I turn around, and he goes, ‘Ah, I get why I see you in the gym all the time. You got back rolls,’ Am I Crazy?” The comment section of her post has since been flooded with encouraging words.
Most of her audience reassured Dalina that she was not in the wrong for leaving mid-session.
According to BuzzFeed, Dalina had several interactions with the man at the gym before and thought she would feel comfortable getting a tattoo from him. On the day of her appointment, she felt optimistic and excited and even bragged to her husband that she was ready to schedule him an appointment afterward. Of the cruel remarks she received, Dalina admitted she was honestly shocked.
And despite the man could tell her mood changed almost immediately, he brushed her off and told her not to take life too seriously instead of apologizing.
Thankfully, Dalina found a female tattoo artist via TikTok who offered to finish her tattoo FREE.
In all she experienced, she hopes other women who find themselves in such situations can also get up and leave. She insisted: “Nobody has the right to disrespect you. You don’t need to excuse people’s bad behavior, but most importantly, trust your gut and be aware of your surroundings.” Initially, Dalina was nervous about sharing the incident because she felt almost dramatic but then realized she wasn’t in any way.
