Spanish Designer Confused People With His Floating Pillow For Sun Allergy
Well, it does its job to prevent sunburn.
Spanish designer SiiGii is an artist who’s currently based in Brooklyn, New York. A concept-based artist, SiiGii suffers from sun allergy that appeared when SiiGii was 11 years old. Since then, he’s been dreaming of being able to enjoy bathing in the sun because he loves nature. Yeah, we all know this is going to be so different from anything we’ve seen before.
So, he comes up with a floating pillow suit that also became part of his diary. SiiGii refers to this as “S.A.D. “DAY 2: FLOATING ABOVE LIMITS“.
Yes, the idea was that SiiGii wants us to adapt to the conditions that we have now. Sun allergy doesn’t mean you need to avoid sun for the rest of your life. He wrote that whenever he has the urge to swim and float on a pool, “I had to become the float”. The key is to “cooperate with our conditions”.
Nothing like making people jealous when you sunbathe like this at the beach.
A certain Japanese tweeted this picture, saying that this looks like something he’d want. But others seem to be seeing something else when they saw the design.
Looks like a dead body.
A mecha figurine.
Mayuri from Bleach.
Someone was reminded of Genma Taisen Vega.
Another mecha.
Then we enter “S.A.D. “DAY 3: DELIMITED FREEDOM“.
This is another concept and it’s basically a naked human being with a very long towel to cover that person from the sun’s direction. This series focuses more on the “inevitable attachment to limits” that this world has, from how he can shield from the sun, but not from the nudity censorship which we can’t show here.
