Following weeks of public outcry and speculations, the teen driver, who killed a 32-Year-Old Secretary identified as Monique Munoz, has officially been held. Brenden Khuri, 17, the teenage son of a multi-millionaire, was behind the wheel of a Lamborghini SUV allegedly street racing with an Audi when it plowed into Munoz’s car in February.

Since the teen driver was revealed to be responsible, his father had gone on a PR Campaign, hoping to pristine his family image. But notwithstanding, DailyMail has learned Los Angeles Police Department recommended negligent vehicular manslaughter charges against the Beverly Hills teen. Due to his age, the charges haven’t yet been filed, but according to the police, the District Attorney’s Office will decide.

Everyone knows who’s car is faster.” James had purchased the $500K supercar as a gift for Brenden on his birthday, but sadly it eventually crushed Munoz’s car. “We’ve done a filing. That filing was presented to the LA County Juvenile DA. It’s currently in his office. The arrest was 192(c)(1) negligent vehicular manslaughter. I can’t regurgitate what we found but based upon multiple witness statements that corroborate one another; it’s clear that there was gross negligence.” Supervising Detective James Dickson of the LAPD’S West Traffic told Daily Mail, with claims they’re also investigating social media posts.

He added: “We believe that the vehicle was potentially engaged in a speed contest with the Lamborghini. That’s a separate investigation, and that’s ongoing, so I’m not willing to comment at the moment, but we do believe it was involved.

The statement continued: “Lawyers for the Khuri family and the Munoz family have worked out a financial settlement in order to allow the families to heal, and they are in the process of finalizing those details. They ask for privacy during this said and traumatic times.”

Close family friend Candace Greene had informed Daily Mail that Brenden was in the hospital having suffered a brain injury in the accident. “The kid is beyond remorseful; he cries every day. He’s been in the hospital since the day of the accident with a brain injury, so he did not walk away from this with cuts and scrapes.” Greene explained.
