Meghan Markle stepped out for the 1st time since the news of Megxit on Tuesday, leaving their $14million Canadian home to visit a women’s shelter in Canada’s underprivileged neighborhood.
The Duchess of Sussex was spotted leaving the Vancouver Island Ocean-Side Mansion at around 10 a.m. local time and arriving at Victoria Harbour Airport 20mins later. Appearing all relaxed and excited, Meghan was seen laughing with her security team before boarding a seaplane.
Making a surprise visit to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Center in Vancouver to give support as well as to motivate the staff’s spirit, photos of her visit have been flooding the internet.

Particularly, the Shelter posted a photo on its Facebook Page showing the Duchess of Sussex in the middle of a group of 8 women.
It was captioned: ‘The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle visited us today to discuss the issues affecting women in the community.’

With a staff member of the Shelter revealing they became aware of the visit when Meghan arrived, the Shelter has, however, been providing hot meals, counseling as well as basic needs for both women and children in dire need.
‘Meghan asked what the women would need in terms of support. It was sincerely a nice meeting.’ The Staff member added.
