Selena Gomez Pens Touching Note To Younger Self As She Celebrates International Women’s Day
It comes as the actress admitted her heart is heavy amid rumors she’s feuding with Hailey Bieber.
Women across the world got celebrated on March 8th. The day was International Women’s Day and it saw the likes of Selena Gomez keying into the celebration. The 30-year-old took to her Instagram and shared a flashback pic along with some advice she would give her younger self. The post has since gained over 7 million likes from her 396 million followers.
It comes as the actress admitted her heart has been heavy amid rumors she has been feuding with Hailey Bieber.
Selena has been caught up in a social media storm after ex-BF Justin Bieber’s wife was slammed for mocking her. Accordingly, Justin has also been accused of throwing shade at the star but has yet to respond. The singer seemed to address the drama as she took to TikTok, urging people to be kind and insisting she only wants good for everyone.
Beneath a video of herself doing a makeup tutorial, Selena thanked her followers, insisting she’s deeply grateful for each and everyone and that they make her unbelievably happy.
However, the caption on Selena’s post as she honors Women’s Day reads: “Dear younger me, please don’t be afraid to ask for help.”
The Texas native, spotted this week at Carbone, added: “Today is International Women’s Day and I want each of us to be gentler to ourselves.” Selena gave fans a call to action as she continued: “Write your younger self a @RareBeauty #rarereminder and stick it on your mirror to remind yourself that you deserve the world. Love you.” She also appeared in a video for her makeup brand’s IG as she shared more life advice.
Selena further said in the reel, which had the hashtag #InternationalWomensDay’: “This year to celebrate, we’re sharing #rarereminder to our younger selves, our Founder @selenagomez kicks it off with one of her own.”
The music artist also stated that: “Something I wish I could tell my younger self is: Appreciate the face and the body that you have. May not look like everyone else but you are who you are and be proud of that.” As seen in the reel, Selena’s face was gorgeously made up with products from her cosmetics and she teamed up with a silver hoop earrings and pulled her hair into a high bun. For her outfit, the beauty opted for a white tank top that exposed her cross tattoo.
