Mom-Of-Two Texas Body Builder Died Suddenly At 31

The cause of her death is not yet known.

The news of Stacey Cummings’ death remains very shocking to both her family and friends. The mom-of-two, described as a beloved soul, had earned her certification as an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness professional in 2016 after she started bodybuilding in 2013.

She had competed in the bikini division of the 2021 IFBB Texas Pro and co-owned Flex Fitness 24/7 gym in McKinney, Texas, with her husband, a fellow bodybuilding professional, Bryant Fought [pictured].

On her Instagram, the day she died, Cummings shared a picture of herself in a silver bikini with the caption: “Just over here trying to remind myself what I’m capable of.” 

The Florida-born, whose cause of death is known, h had two children with her husband. And while she had claimed to have overcome many demons in the past, people speculate if they’ve any relation to her death.

The National Physique Committee’s Texas branch has released a public statement. They said: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unfortunate and untimely passing of IFBB Pro Stacey Cummings.”

Bodybuilding professional and friend of Cummings, Kelly Lynn, has also shared a tribute on her Facebook.

Lynn wrote she’s yet to know the cause of Cummings passing but noted she had beaten back a troubled past to achieve what she had. “I don’t know her full story as to what happened; I just know she overcame many demons in her past. This one hit home. May she rest in peace,” Lynn concluded. However, this loss is the latest high-profile premature death in the bodybuilding world in 12 months.
