Mom Moons The Crowd After Faceplanting During Parents’ Race At Her Daughter’s School Sports Day
And here’s some good old banter.
On 15th June, Katie Hannaford suffered more than a little red-faced when she fell to the ground and mistakenly flashed her underwear to teachers, parents, and students while participating in her daughter’s school sports day. The mum from Basildon in Essex had lined up in the third lane from the left as the crowd cheered.
But just as they got off to a good start, Katie, within seconds, lost it and tripped headfirst into the field, leaving her b*tt hanging in the air.
Embarrassingly, her light blue dress came up over her head, and as seen in the background of footage that captured the incident, several children swiftly turned around as they realized what had transpired. Notably, her eight-year-daughter convinced her to do the run as she was desperate for her mum to take part, although she’s possibly regretting the decision now.
Thankfully, Katie – a homeware company owner, has since seen the hilarious side even though she had been mortified.
“I’m not sporty at all, but [my daughter] kept begging me. In the end I agreed to the race I knew I’d come last. I just stripped over my own feet, I think my body was just moving too fast for my legs! I’m so clumsy, I’m always falling over. I was humiliated at the time, but it is what it is! I flashed my underwear which is embarrassing but you just have to own it,” Katie, according to Ladbible, said.
Looking back at it all, Katie, 36, admitted it’s undoubtedly the funniest thing she has ever done.
In fact, she shared the video [above] on her Facebook page with the caption: “When the kids got more at sports day than they were expecting! Haha. If you can’t laugh at yourself then what’s a life about ay! Sorry kiddos and anyone else watching!” Expectedly, the video went viral and garnered comments as one person wrote: “It think this is a cracking good effort posting this and a great view for the kids.”
Another said: “OMG Katie, more I watch it more I laugh.” A third chimed in: “I’m laughing more this morning than I was last night.”
