Man In His 40s Asks A 19-Year-Old For Her Number At The Gym, Ends Up Embarrassing Himself
“Men, leave women alone in the gym.”
A 19-Year-Old has urged men to leave women alone after she had an exchange with an older man at the gym. Avrey Ovard was filming exercises for her YouTube channel when a stranger, apparently in his 40s, came over and started chatting with her. After several attempts to have a conversation with Avrey, he then requested her number, to which she replied that she was “too young” for him.

Avrey Ovard, 19, has urged men to leave women at the gym alone after a man attempted to ask her out.
Instantly, the man retorted that he was “too rich” for her. In a short clip posted to TikTok, Avrey can be seen stretching on a mat when the man, whose face has cut out, approached and asked whether she’s filming a video. After she confirmed that she is, he left for 5minutes before returning to ask her name, to which the mentioned above response was given. A few people have considered Avrey quite rude, while many think what she said was perfect.
Avrey was recording her gym session and stretching when the unnamed man started hitting on her.
@avreyovard for those who saw my YT vid lmao here’s this …. LEAVE WOMEN ALONE!!!! ##gym ##gymgirl ##PerfectMarcJacobs

The man was heard asking for her name and the spelling of it before continuing unwanted conservation.
The clip has since racked over 1.5million views and numerous likes. TikTokers couldn’t help but share their horror at the stranger’s response. “The way he gets immediately defensive when you were perfectly reasonable lol, ok fully grown man child. Another added: “We gotta start saying I’m too young more often. Maybe it’ll shame them. While a third stated: “Why can men not handle rejection.”
He explained he was at the gym for a physical therapy session, telling Avrey that he had an injury in his leg.
In an expanded version of the video on YouTube, Avrey explained more about the incident and how she felt about it. She claimed that although she had seen many TikTok of other girls that it happened to, it was a first for her. The encounter left her feeling embarrassed, yet she asserted her perspective. “I have never had an experience like this, getting hit on in the gym. Men leave women alone in the gym. It’s the last place where I would ever want to bit hit on.” Avery stated.
After asking for her number, Avrey told the man she was ‘too young for him’ which prompted him to fire back.
After the exchange Avrey just turned back to her phone as if nothing had transpired.
Avery probably had meant that she was too young and possibly didn’t think to the implication that the man was too old. Feeling insulted, it could be the reason why the man instantly snapped back with such a response. It would nonetheless have been safe if Avrey had said that she wasn’t interested or that she’s in a relationship, i.e., she has a boyfriend. Without any further ado, have you had a similar experience?
