Children are too young to understand complicated concepts about the legal issue of consent and what it pertains to. BUT, it’s not hard to teach them that no means no. Unless it’s mom, don’t let adults touch you in places you don’t like. Kids need to learn the power to refuse skinship.

Radical parenting styles are on the rise in opposition to what used to be taught as valuable norms in society. Such as this mother who denies the existence of ‘virginity.’

There are adults who grew up without the ability to refuse things. Culture plays a huge part with rejection often correlated to one’s rude manners. But we’ve reached an age where more people are sharing how being unable to say ‘no’ had put them in so many problematic situations.

This mom wants her girl to be able to say that since early age!

Her TikTok video has been viewed more than 460k times with more than 48.8k likes. Despite the criticisms she receives, she stands strong with her point: teaching consent shouldn’t be optional.

In an interview with Australian TV, she shared, “A lot of people are very outraged, which I understand, a lot of people have misunderstood the point of the message that I’m trying to get across. But a lot of people have been in support of it as well, and that’s what has been amazing.”
