‘I’ve had rats all my life, since when I was around 14-15 years old. I’ve discovered how great they can be as pets. Rats are just starting to get popular as pets. I guess. Right after I had my first rat, I just kept getting a replacement. Normally, rats don’t live very long, they live for about 2-3years, so I have had about 9 of them. Darius is included’ Amalie explained.

She added: ‘I started taking care of Darius in 2017. He was one of the many rats in the litter. All the rats seemed awesome, but Darius was the precious one of all. He was so gentle and kind and I honestly fell in love with him the very moment I set my eye on him.’
