Kim Kardashian’s “Advice For Women In Business” Backfires, People Remind Her Privileges
People are mad and this sentence is very undermining.
Kim Kardashian is under fire after making what many believe to be insensitive “advice”. Several call the sisters “tone deaf” after they shared their tips on how to make it big as businesswomen after Kim Kardashian’s net worth has tripled this year.
She and her sisters went on Variety and were interviewed on how they managed to reach the height of their careers.
“I have the best advice for women in business: Get your f**king *ss up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days,” she said in the interview. Kourtney nodded to her words and chimed in, “That’s so true.”
“You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do because you have one life. No toxic work environments.”
Khloé added, “My advice for women in business is you just have to do what you’re actually passionate about. … It’s not easy, regardless of how it looks. I think people see things, with instant gratification because of social media, that they think it just comes easy to people.”
In the short time the interview was up, over 32.5k quote retweets were made in comparison to the 9.4k likes.

Users quickly pointed out that not everyone grew up in a privileged, rich family that owns a house in Beverly Hills.

On top of that, millions suffer from losing their job when the pandemic hits, and keeping one isn’t easy either.

One shared a job listing made by Jenner Communications that involves an unpaid internship position.

Her strong statement doesn’t bode well, considering the scandals the sisters have been involved in for years.

Just last year, the family was sued multiple times for copying product designs and ideas. Yet, Kylie Jenner’s words in the interview were, “I hope that I’ve inspired other women to take chances and follow their dreams.”
Kim Kardashian herself had been sued by her maintenance and cleaning workers for wage theft, but she’s denied all allegations.
Jessica DeFino, the former editor of the Kardashian apps, has also taken the opportunity to speak up about the working condition.

“The wildest thing about that job: I saw firsthand how the most famous women in the world Frankensteined an impossible standard of beauty, pushed the rest of us to “keep up” with them, weaponized that standard of beauty to sell products, and *still* never felt good enough,” Jessica continued.
“They need to do a real reality show where she is dropped off in a small town with a studio apartment, no vehicle, no connections, and no bank account. Let her take a bus to a minimum wage job, then see if she can work hard enough to make it,” requested one annoyed user.
You can watch the full interview below, but maybe not if you prefer not to feel angered for the rest of the day!
