Kate Moss Is Set To Take Her Stance After Amber Heard Mentioned Her Name In Testimony
She had nothing but great things to say about him.
Amber Heard’s mistakes from her early testimonies are coming back to haunt her. The 36-year-old mentioned one of Johnny Depp’s ex, Kate Moss, in her testimony, which got Depp and his legal team cheering as they prepare their next move.
One of the most iconic high-profile relationships in the 90s was Depp and Moss who dated from 1994 to 1997.
Heard mentioning Moss became possibly her worst mistake because it allowed Depp’s team to bring in Moss.
Mitra Ahouraian, a lawyer in the entertainment industry from California, spoke with The New York Post in reaction to the testimony, “That’s one mistake that [Heard] made, was bringing up Kate Moss, which potentially opened the door to [Depp’s team] bringing [Moss] on as an impeachment witness” — and Moss “saying ‘This never happened.’”
“Amber mentioned an ex of Johnny’s that clearly she felt was not supportive of him, which couldn’t be further from the truth,” commented another who was a source close to Depp.
Benjamin Chew, Depp’s lawyer, was seen air punching as he turned around to Camille Vasquez.
“I see my little sister with her back to the staircase and Johnny swings at her,” she spoke in court. “I don’t hesitate, I don’t wait – I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs. And I swung at him.”
Heard continued during the testimony, “I remembered information that I had heard; he pushed a former girlfriend – I believe it was Kate Moss – down the stairs.”
She continued, “I had heard this rumor from two people and it was fresh in my mind.”
Kate Moss and Johnny Depp had many positive things to say about each other, but their relationship wasn’t perfect. Reports said that the two were often seen arguing in public. Despite breaking things off in 1997, they were still seen together in public in 1998 at the Cannes Film Festival.
At one point, Depp was arrested for criminal mischief after trashing a hotel room at New York City’s Mark Hotel. Moss was uninjured.
Moss later gushed over the man and spoke in a 2012 interview with Vanity Fair, “There’s nobody that’s ever been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said.”
“‘Like if I said ‘what do I do?’ he’d tell me. And that’s what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust.”
It was a “nightmare” and she went through “years of crying” over the breakup.
Kate Moss is set to testify in court on Wednesday and will speak on the truth of the issue. She’s openly spoken in favor of her ex-boyfriend from 30 years ago and seems set to dispel the rumor of him pushing her down the stairs when they were dating.
