Johnny Replaced By Dwayne In Pirates Of The Caribbean 6? Fans Can’t Imagine New Jack Sparrow
Fans are not pleased to hear this.
Rumors have emerged Johnny Depp will be replaced by Dwayne Johnson in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Depp, known for his role as Jack Sparrow, is one of the most loved characters, and just after his trial win against Amber Heard, his fans had unarguably wanted his return for the sixth installment.
Following Heard’s published op-ed in 2018 hinged on domestic abuse allegations, Disney had announced they’d be going in a different direction, meaning Depp was axed.
But as he won the trial, the 59-Year-Old fans urged Disney needs to come out and apologize for how wrongly they treated the actor. With the new development of role replacement, fans have yet again aired their anger online. Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Depp and not look to reboot POTC franchise. Show some class, Disney. Yuh looking goofy.”
Another wrote: “@TheRock Any Hollywood actor should know not to touch the Captain Jack Sparrow role out of respect for @johnnydepp.”
A third asked: “Stop being greedy!!” How the hell is Dwayne Johnson going to run like Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow?” While a fourth noted: “Captain Jack Sparrow can’t be replaced! The Rock Dwayne Johnson should humbly say no. if it ain’t Johnny Depp, it ain’t The Spardroww; it’s Captain Jack Sparrow.”
However, after his trial win, Depp issued a lengthy statement celebrating the verdict.
“Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that,” Depp had written. But while he celebrated, Heard slammed the decision in her statement: “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words,” she said. “I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.”
Now, Heard has to pay Depp $15million in damages after the Jury ruled she defamed him.
While the jury in sided more with Depp, it still ruled the actor defamed Heard while fighting back against her charges. The Aquaman star was awarded $2million in compensatory damages for her counterclaim. From the very beginning, the goal for Depp was to reveal the truth about what transpired in his marriage with Heard, regardless of the outcome.
