Johnny Depp Wanted To Have Amber Heard Replaced From ‘Aquaman’
The feeling of unfairness comes to play!
Actor Johnny Depp had lost his high-profile libel case against The Sun Newspaper over a published article that described him as a wife-beater. Following the loss, the actor announced he was urged to resign from the Fantastic Beast franchise.
Feeling unfairness, Johnny Depp has claimed he attempted to keep his ex-wife Amber Heard from starring in Aquaman 2. The pirate of the Caribbean actor allegedly tried to have her replaced in the movie. Specifically, Depp sent out a text message to his sister Christi Dembrowski stating he wanted Amber to be replaced.
The text was unveiled in Justice Andrew Nicol’s 132-page ruling against the actor in his lawsuit against The Sun. It’s reportedly said that Christi, a producer, does have a wielded influence over Warner Bros, having had several deals with the studio. ‘I want her replaced in the WB film.’ Depp’s message reads.
34-Year-Old Amber Heard has, of course, addressed her replacement removal in an Interview with Entertainment Weekly. ‘Paid rumors and paid campaigns on social media don’t dictate casting decisions because they have no basis in reality. Only the fans made Aquaman and Aquaman 2 happen. I am excited to get started next year.’ Amber had said.
While the actor confirmed this text about Aquaman 2, he denied launching a petition to get her removed from the movie. A petition had been set up for fans to have Heard removed. It’s has passed 1.7million signatures, but it seems the petitions have no bearing on casting decisions, as Heard said. Nevertheless, it’s fingers crossed!
