Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘Joker’ Crossover With Robert Pattinson’s ‘Batman’ Won’t Happen

Might there be another Batman…?

It seems that ‘Joker’ will remain a standalone movie that focuses on the building and forming of the popular villain in the DC Universe. Todd Philips spoke to Variety regarding the possibilities of Joaquin and Phoenix and Robert Pattinson having a face-off.

Philips firmly denies the chances and Joker will ‘definitely not’ appear together with Batman in future movies. But at the same time, he confirms that this won’t be his last appearance as Joker.

“Oddly, in the states, comic books are our Shakespeare it seems, and you can do many, many versions of “Hamlet”. There will be many more jokers, I’m sure, in the future.”

Highly hyped ‘Joker’ movie premiered at The Toronto International Film Festival and swept the award at Venice Film Festival. The movie became the receiver of Golden Lion top prize from the festival to Philips surprise, “Honestly we just can’t believe about the Venice thing. We’re still getting our footing.”
