Jameela Jamil Slams People For Making Fun Of Kanye West
It’s beginning to prompt harassment, intimidation, and abuse.
Public rants about Kim Kardashian, her children, and her new relationship with Pete Davidson have undeniably dominated Kanye Ye West’s Instagram page, most of which he continually deletes. But amid these attacks and breakup from his GF Julia Fox, he recently gifted Kim a truckload of roses on Valentine’s Day and begged God to reunite them in a post on Instagram.
As this seems ongoing, Jameela Jamil has urged people to stop treating Ye’s social media activity like entertainment or meme fodder.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Jameela also claimed the rapper’s antagonism towards his estranged wife and Davidson has prompted accusations of harassment, intimidation, and abuse.
As the meme began to speedily circulate on Twitter, the actress, who had before spoken about her mental health challenges and recovery, also pleaded that people should cut it out and underscore the seriousness of Ye’s situation. “We are watching a mentally ill man coaxed over the edge by our engagement/media attention,” She wrote.
“The consequences of this getting worse/messier will be him losing access to his kids.
“Learn something from how we fed into [Britney Spears’] mental health strains and stop enjoying and encouraging this. This isn’t entertainment. I know he’s asking for the attention, but getting it will create unimaginable sadness for him and mostly his completely innocent kids later.”
She continued: “Stop meme-ing this. Even famous people, when clearly going through something with their mental health, should be off limits when it comes to internet lols.”
“I know he’s not in the right. But I also know pouring gasoline on this fire when someone has bipolar isn’t going to make anything easier for anyone involved. This shit must be really hard for all of them. Especially Kim. And egging him on won’t help her or her babies. It’s not funny; it’s real life.”
After calling out Ye over his constant attacks on her, the SKIMS Founder expressed her concern for Pete’s safety in private messages to her ex, which he eventually leaked online.
Kanye later wiped his Instagram, sharing a message that acknowledged that his actions were jarring and came off as harassing Kim and then followed Pete’s profile. However, he then shared two separate posts exclusively on the SNL comedian.
In one of the posts [now-deleted], the rapper responded to a resurfaced clip of Pete making jokes about him and psychiatric medication on the show, captioning the post: “This is not harassment. This is payback.
