Jada Pinkett Wants Will Smith And Chris Rock To ‘Talk This Out and Reconcile’

“The state of the world today, we need them both.”

Months after Chris Rock experienced a strong slap on live TV while hosting the Oscars by the hand of Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith finally addressed the issue. The controversial act had the internet split, with some shunning Smith’s aggressive slap but others thanking him for standing up to the joke.

In her newest Red Table Talk episode, Jada spoke about alopecia and how she wished for the two men to have a conversation about it.

“My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile,” said the woman. “The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one another more than ever.”

“Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening.”

“Considering what I’ve been through with my own health and what happened at the Oscars, thousands have reached out to me with their stories.”

She continued, “I’m using this moment to give our alopecia family an opportunity to talk about what it’s like to have this condition and to inform people about what alopecia actually is.”

Jada has alopecia areata, which is when her immune system attacks her own hair follicles, causing permanent hair loss.

The 50-year-old had often sported a short hair look but finally decided to shave in 2021 after the bald patches got more challenging to cover up.

Watch the newest episode as she spoke with Rio’s mom, whose daughter ended her own life at 12 after she was bullied for being bald.
