Influencers Battle Over Both Naming Their Babies ‘Baby’, And People’s Reactions Are Hilarious
Ridiculous drama and quite an unfortunate baby names!
Naming celebration among regular people seem more conventional, especially as it quite common for families and friends to name their children biblical names and any names that come to mind without an issue. Well, in the celebrity universe – this isn’t the case. Two friends turned influencers are topping the headlines, having over fought over naming their newborns ‘baby.’
Australian Jessica Hart and her NASCAR driver, fiancé James Kirkham in November 2019 welcomed a baby girl and named her BABY. This move got fashion influencer Sasha Benz infuriated. Sasha is Jessica’s close friend, and she had called her nearly 3-Year-Old daughter Baybi. Now, Sasha is accusing Jessica of stealing her daughter’s name.

Sasha is a New York-based fashion influencer and the owner of Wyld Blue and Wyld Black in Montauk. She’s the creative director for Montauk celebrity hotspot Surf Lodge, runs a blog, and interestingly all her friends are models. Specifically, Sasha and DJ Oli Benz welcomed their daughter in 2018 and named her Baybi.

‘Sasha is devastated that her close friend would copy her daughter’s unique name, especially after she’d gone to her for name ideas.’ A close friend told The Sydney Morning Herald. Also, Sasha is said to have been blindsided when Jessica informed her, ‘We’re calling her baby, but don’t worry, it’s spelled differently.’ According to the source, the friends haven’t spoken since the baby’s name was revealed. But then Sasha, in a recent interview, said all has since been forgiven and overlooked.

Nonetheless, since internet users learned the two friends were fighting over who could name their newborn baby, criticisms and reactions emerged. ‘Hear me out! Both of them should change Baby’s name, solve the feud, and spare the kids having a dumb name in the process.’ A user commented. ‘Not much shocks me about influencers anymore, but this one did.’ A second added.
A few pointed out how cruel it was to name newborn baby, since they will have to go to school with the same name, become a teenager, an adult, and even one day apply for jobs and go on dates. Some hilariously reacted and suggested that the daughters be named Frances instead; others compared the strange name to the CW show Jane the Virgin, where a character named his child ‘Baby.’
