Idris Elba Tested Positive Alone With ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Kristofer Hivju
More high-profile individuals have tested positive and now they are spreading the awareness, but also positive messages.
Getting Covid-19 is not a death sentence, especially if you have followed your healthcare providers’ suggestion. British actor Idris Elba, 47, shared a video on Twitter 10 hours ago by the time this article was written that he tested for Covid-19 and received a positive result. In the video, he was seen sharing the message with wife Sabrina Dhowre and promises to keep us updated on his condition.
He revealed that he found out he was in direct contact with someone who tested positive for it and immediately self-quarantined. He asked for a test on Friday and got the result back recently. In the video he said, “…Now’s the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands. Beyond that, there are people out there who aren’t showing symptoms and that can easily spread it.”
Idris Elba is just one among a huge number of celebrities who have been tested positive with the virus. Previously, Tom Hanks and his wife showed mild symptoms and had themselves tested positive. They have been in self-isolation in Australia and keeping us up-to-date with their situation.
Meanwhile, ‘Game of Thrones’ star Kristofer Hivju has shared with his 3.7m followers recently that he has been tested positive for the virus. He wrote on the caption of his Instagram post, “My family and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes. We are in good health – I only have mild symptoms of a cold.”
But so far, these celebrities have only been sharing positive notes since their revelation. Many remind their followers to exercise social distancing, frequent hand-washing and quarantine. Kristofer also wrote, “Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals. Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy!”
