Hilaria And Husband Alec Baldwin Welcome 7th Baby Together, His 8th
The newborn is Hilaria’s 7th baby but Alec’s 8th.
A new addition was welcomed into the Baldwin family on September 22nd. In March, it would be recalled Hilaria Baldwin had shared pregnancy news with her Instagram followers, claiming another Baldwinito is coming this fall. She admitted to being beyond happy and that the new baby would be a bright spot in their lives.
Finally, the newborn is here with us and named Ilaria Catalina Irena Baldwin.
The infant has joined siblings Carmen, 9; Rafeael, 7; Leonardo, 5 ½; Eduardo, 23 months; Romeo, 4th; Lucia, 18 months and Alec’s daughter, Ireland Baldwin, 26, with ex-wife Kim Basinger. “She’s here! We are so excited to introduce you to our tiny dream come true, Ilaria Catalina Ireana [sic]. 9-22-22,” the new mom wrote in a heartwarming Instagram reel.
She added: “Her Baldwinito siblings are spending the day bonding and welcoming her into our home.”
The caption concluded with: “Much love to you all. We are so happy to celebrate this wonderful news with you.” The actress had in May also disclosed the sex of the newborn differently than she had before. The then-expectant mom captioned an Instagram video of her children offering advice: “It’s up to our baby to discover their own, unique self.”
At the time, the beauty and her husband Alec, 64, didn’t share thoughts on a name but joked about opting for an all-American one during an April gala.
According to Page Six, the ‘Saturday Night Live star proposed the names Babe Ruth or Chase Manhattan. The couple’s joke referenced the criticism Hilaria faced in late 2020 when she was accused of cultural appropriation after claiming to be from Spain. However, Alec had been the center of a tragic controversy in October 2021.
The actor accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with a prop gun that had a live round while filming the movie Rust.
Alec was sued for negligence by crew members of the Western flick, and the Hutchins family also filed a wrongful death lawsuit against him. In an Instagram post, Hilaria reflected on the challenging time: “Sometimes I didn’t think I was gonna make it through. I want you to know how much you have helped me through some pretty dark struggles. Knowing you were there –such comfort.”
Through the many ups and downs, Hilaria, according to her post in March, believes the newborn remains a blessing, a gift, and she’s pretty sure their family is now complete.
