Heidi Klum Told Her Daughter, 17, ‘You Don’t Always Have To Please People’
Leni’s first offer came when she was 12-13, but Klum declined.
Heidi Klum is a proud mom! The 48-Year-Old has been issuing both motherly and industry advice to her upcoming model daughter Leni. The 17-Year-Old in 2020 graced the cover of Vogue Germany with her mom Klum, who is delighted Leni is choosing to thread in her footsteps.
Heidi Klum, pictured with daughter Leni, has been teaching the 17-Year-Old the dos and don’ts of the modeling world.
In a recent interview with People Magazine, the ex-Victoria’s Secret Angel, however, claimed she has been sharing the dos and don’ts of a career in modeling with her Leni. “I said to her, at the end of the day, you have to be happy with yourself. And don’t do anything you don’t want to do.” Klum stated.
One piece of advice to Leni is never to do anything she doesn’t want to do.
She added: “You don’t always have to please people. But I’m always with Leni. And she has a very good head on her shoulders.” In an associated interview, Leni revealed it was only a matter of time before she began her modeling career, adding that the first offer came when she was 12-13 from a brand she liked to wear: Brandy Melville, but she wasn’t allowed to.
Another advice of Klum to Leni is: “You don’t always have to please people.”
“At that time, I begged my mother but no chance,” Leni revealed. In her words, Leni claimed following her mother’s footsteps at such a young age ‘would have been too early.’ But officially, her career has started, and Klum admitted Leni has been working non-stop. She continued: “I’ve been helping her with deals, and she has so many things in the pipeline. It’s really exciting. She is doing the things I was always dreaming to do!”

Following the Vogue Germany cover, WWD reported that Leni had opened Berlin Fashion Week and even signed with CAA Fashion Agency in Hollywood. On the other hand, in April 2021, Leni made her solo cover debut for Glamour Germany. This is precisely 20years after her mom Klum became the first cover model for the magazine.
