Emily Ratajkowski Was Paid $25k For Accompanying Malaysian Fugitive Jho Low To The Super Bowl

At the age of 15, her ex-boyfriend forced himself on her drunk-self.

Supermodel and mother Emily Ratajkowski revealed that she once accompanied Low Taek Jho from Malaysia, an international fugitive who ran away with US$4.5 billion from 1MDB, to the Super Bowl. She was paid $25,000.

Emily was interviewed by The Sunday Times Magazine regarding her book that speaks much about her journey on reclaiming herself, ‘My Body.’ She told them, “I was on the clock.”

Her life experience means she’s not surprised with scandals such as Jeffrey Epstein’s.

The Southern Californian CEO of Inamorata explained, “A lot of my experiences with Coachella, or whatever, the transaction wasn’t defined. The terms of the agreement weren’t named.”

“I found out later that they invited girls who couldn’t afford food or a nice meal out to these fancy dinners in LA. That was a motivator for them to come. And that’s manipulation.”

She continued, “I witnessed so much of that in different forms. Right before Covid, I went to some new nightclub, and it was really empty. All of a sudden, 10 – I would guess if they weren’t underage, then barely of age – models arrive with one guy. I was, like, ‘Oh right, the same thing is still happening.'”

“Beautiful girls being out at a club and rich men paying indirectly to have them there,” she described the situation.

Emily also named the first time she slept with her ex, Owen, as a non-con situation.

“Naming what had happened with Owen was particularly healing,” she added. “That was nonconsensual sex. I was so young. I hadn’t even had sex before. So many young women I know, their first early sexual experiences border on nonconsensual.”

She’s also exposed singer Robin Thicke to have groped her during the filming of their controversial music video ‘Blurred Lines.’ And before that, photographer Jonathan Leder had sexually assaulted her in 2011.

Emily described these experiences as things she’s “afraid of” as they made her “feel out of control” of her own life.

“I didn’t sit down to write a list of the traumatic events in my life. At all. But there were experiences that I had a lot of shame around, and there is this validation that comes with people reading it and recognizing your experience as being real and it existing.”

The 30-year-old mom welcomed her first child, Sylvester Apollo Bear, eight months ago, and it was “a transforming experience.”

Emily could feel how her son was suddenly, once again, making her lose control. But she learned to submit to the changes, despite feeling “nervous” about childbirth.

While she’s had several shocking experiences in the field, Emily doesn’t want to stop aspiring models from doing what they love.

“I would never tell a young woman not to model because I have had the success and the financial success to be able to buy myself time to write this book.”

“And I have the ability to have this book be talked about in a way that an unknown writer wouldn’t – and that’s power. And that came through commodifying my image and my body.”
