Demi Lovato has been very candid about her eating disorder. After she decided to let go of her toxic management, she started to embrace her body more. It was so bad that she wasn’t even allowed fruits when staying at hotels!

But here is the queen, showing her glittery stretch marks.

“I used to genuinely believe recovery from an eating disorder wasn’t real.”

In the touching, raw caption that Demi wrote, she shared how she never believed in recovery. Behind those ‘recovery’ posts and videos, she knew that they must be “faking or secretly relapsing behind closed doors.” She doesn’t think she’ll ever be able to accept her cellulite.

“Those we’re just a few of the things that I used to tell myself growing up.”

Finally, for the first time in her life she shared a quote from her dietician.

“This is what eating disorder recovery looks like.”

The most recent Instagram post, which is full coverage of her upper thighs area and the abdomen, was drenched in water, glitters, and camera filter. She shared that these are pictures ‘to celebrate my stretch marks instead of being ashamed of them.’

“I started wearing actual glitter paint on my stretch marks to celebrate my body and all of it’s features (whether society views them as good OR bad),” she added.

“My stretch marks aren’t going away so might as well throw a lil glitter on em’ am I right?”

The picture of her candid post about recovery, stretch mark, and self-love have reached over 3.4m likes. Previously, Demi shared a picture of how she gained the body that she wants once she let go of it. She even had to deprive herself of birthday cake, ‘opting for watermelon & whip cream with candles’ as she couldn’t have an actual cake.

At the end of the post, Demi wrote, “This year was tough.. be gentle on yourself if you slip up and remember to get right back on track because you’re WORTH THE MIRACLE OF RECOVERY.”
