Chrissy Teigen Says She’s Pregnant With A Rainbow Baby
“Ok phew it’s been hard keeping this in for so long.”
Model Chrissy Teigen has announced on social media that she’s pregnant with a rainbow baby. This news comes two years after Teigen and her husband, John Legend, lost a baby during pregnancy. At the time, the author expressed how badly she was heartbroken to have lost their son, whom they would name Jack.
The couple has now been blessed with another, who will join their children, Luna, six, and Miles, 4.
Notably, a rainbow baby is defined as a newborn that comes after a miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of an infant from natural causes. Taking to her Instagram, Teigen explained she and husband John are left thrilled with their upcoming arrival as her post began: “The last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least, but joy has filled our homes and hearts again.”
She added: “I billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!). We have another on the way.”
“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decided I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been hard keeping this in for so long.”
When they lost their son Jack, Teigen shared black and white photographs that showed her sitting on a hospital bed with her hands gripped in a prayer-like position.
And due to pregnancy complications, the model got hospitalized for excessive bleeding. In the caption of her post, Teigen had written: “To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.” The pregnancy had been announced in August via John’s music video titled: “Wild.”
