Chris Hemsworth Actually Punched Tom Hiddleston In The Face As Thor
Loki let Thor hit him. For real.
Thor and Loki were best friends as brothers until Loki’s jealousy of his father’s seemingly one-sided parental love peaked along with his discovery of his origins. They became the worst enemies – two gods, constantly at each other’s throats. But ‘Infinity War’ showed that they are still the best brothers.
Well, one thing fans probably didn’t know up until now is that Thor actually hit Loki for real at one point during ‘Avengers’ directed by Joss Whedon then. During Tom Hiddleston’s interview on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, he mentioned this:
“There was a scene in ‘Avengers’ where Thor had to strike Loki across the face and I was wearing the horns, which weigh about 30 pounds. I couldn’t really sell the hit, the smack. So I just said to Chris, ‘I think you should just hit me in the face.’”
“It’s a terrible idea. I went down like a stone,” he added quickly.
But let’s admit it, that fight between the family was a really good scene as many people bought it. We can only praise the hard work Hiddleston put as he wears that heavy helmet and let himself be hit across the face.
Hiddleston will be back as God of Mischief for Disney+ titled ‘Loki’. While it’s very likely that he won’t be back in the main movies of Marvel Studios, he now has a show of his own. It will answer two main questions people have regarding this character: His and the cube’s face.
Meanwhile, his Broadway show ‘Betrayal’ is currently playing and if you haven’t, go check it out before it’s over!
