It’s New Year and 2020. Time to kiss goodbye to all the bad things that happened last decade.
Busy decided to upload a series of pictures to Instagram from when ‘Busy Tonight’ was cancelled one month before it was over. She shared some funny screenshots of her texts to the ex-head of E! as well as crying selfies and everything she did that day.
She recalled that day, “I flew to Dallas to shoot commercials over the weekend for Michael’s. When my plane took off, the song that came on shuffle was my favorite Deerhunter song ‘He Would Have Laughed’. I felt like it was a good sign.
But she got a text from her manager who told her to call after she landed. And apparently, E! isn’t renewing her show of 7 months and it’s effectively cancelled. “I was blindsided,” wrote the mother-of-two. “Especially since the last text I had from the head of E! (who’s now gone) was about marketing for ‘Busy Tonight’ that he was excited to tell me about.”
She called her friends 5 times and cried hard that night, waiting for E! to send her an email or give her a call. But they never came, so she texted them instead and it was hilarious!
